I have been quite for a while as unfortunately I had a nasty allergic reaction to my antibiotics but slowly back on the mend and will be posting more regularly :)!! ... For now heres something exciting I received in the post this morning!!

I was sent these super quirky pieces of jewellery for shooting with, and thought I would share them with you :)

I chose the cute heart earrings and the unusual heart necklace as I like how different they are and know they will work perfect for a dramatic beauty shot!! (I am thinking dark black makeup and high fashion eeeeep)

Looking forward to shooting with these, will post up pictures of the results when I do :)!!

Plumpy sexy lippys!

Nice big pouty lips! here's a trick even the super thin lipped can use .....

I myself have pretty average lips and wanted a little bit more oomph, I have searched around for natural approaches but most consist of suction techniques which can be very damaging and cause permanent problems.

I decided to try a lip enhancing gloss: Soap an glory: mother pucker mainly because the name amused me :) I didn't like the pink so I got the shade *half naked*

My experience:






Other people slated this product for the tingling sensation but I loved it even though it was a little tickley, application was the products let down as it is super sticky!! so after working its magic I would rub it off and apply a balm instead, but for its claims I give it a 9/10 as I really found it did work wonders for me made m lips plumpy but not to fish like, its a shame about the stickiness as the colours also lush!




Here are some picys:

To get super soft lips without paying out for scrubs use a small amount of Vaseline and a old soft bristle toothbrush, gently ex-foliate in circle motions the lip surface. This will remove dead skin while the Vaseline also rehydrates the lip area :)

Mayonnaise in the hair EWWW or mmmmmh?

This is a test I did a while ago! yes back in my student days when money was tight and hair adopted the hay form!

I needed a fix! a cheap fix .... as most of you will know a good deep conditioner can be up too £20 so thats was out the question, I went searching through the internet for a natural cheap remedy to sooth my tattered locks and was shocked to come across videos of girls using mayonnaise as conditioner.

Yummmmm (not)

I tried this on my hair!! before I reveal my results and rate this technique I will warn you all now DO NOT wash this out with warm/hot water unless you want scrambled eggs in you hair :)

Application: Apply dependant on hair length (two big blobs) on unwashed wet hair, Lather through the hair, wrap plastic bag over to prevent drips and death by stink, leave for 20 minutes (I left mine for 1hr as it was super damaged), wash out with COLD water + shampoo then condition! 

Results !!! 

This actually worked like a dream made my hair super shiny soft and reduced frizz my ends looked as good as new. Downside to this method: it smells so bad, its messy, hard to clean off places, hard to wash out! 

I give this a 7.5 out of 10 for the bad smell and difficult removal, its perfect if you are strapped for cash and does work better than a lot of high street brand conditioner!

Hair growth products that worked!!

Lee stafford products mhhhhmmmm hello ;)



These little beauties are just amazing! Even if they did nothing the smell alone is enough to make me buy them!

Boots were doing their 3 for 2 so I got mine all super cheap, the individual prices are:


Hair growth treatment 200ml: £7.99

Hair growth shampoo: £6.99

Hair growth conditioner: £6.99

Unlike Nisim you use these products as an when you wash your hair, I wash mine every 2-3 days as its quite dry so I used all three every time I washed. The treatment is for use every wash until condition improves then once a week to keep condition, but is not strong enough to be used as a stand alone conditioner.

The shampoo: I found the shampoo a little drying after a while so I swapped it out and used my normal shampoo instead from time to time, the smell is to die for smells kind of like a massive bag of sweats on your head :)

The treatment: This one smells the best! you need to proper massage this into your scalp then leave for 5 minutes, I tend to do it while shaving my legs so I'm not just sat there all awkward :).

The conditioner: This ones a extra boost for the ends to keep your hair damage free and looking fine ... yet again smelling amazing.


I rate these 8/10 as they made my hair fuller and super shiny, but loose points for growth as I did notice a little but for their price I expected a more to be honest!!




The vitamin approach!!

This I found the most effective!!! I coupled these with my regular shampoo and conditioner also using the Lee Stafford hair growth treatment

I also took women's multivitamin tablets for just over a month! + loads of water bottles and bottles of it!


Biotin is the best for hair growth but I have read a few reviews stating that it can make your skin very spotty if you don't drink enough water! I had no problems with this so I don't know how legitimate that claim is.





With these products I get about 1inch a month which for me is super badass! :)
This is also my preferred method for encouraging growth as your hair goes super soft and shiny too!!!

Other tips:

• Exercise 
• Good diet
• Head massages (stimulate hair follicles)
• Mix peppermint oil with shampoo (also a stimulant)
• Avoid direct heat to the roots
• Don't use bleach on roots
• Try not to dye hair lots (causes breakages and dryness)
• Avoid heat styling when possible (also causes breakage and split ends yuck)
• Wear hair up loosely (this has mixed reviews but is supposed to help minimise breakage)  

And Dont stress!!! :)

Sounds a bit to good to be true huh? ... I thought so too so I did tons of research mainly on Youtube videos so I could see before and after results and without a doubt the users where getting up too 4inches in a month, so I was sold!!

I rushed into boots and grabbed mine then hurried home to start!

It comes with a conditioner and shampoo which you are required to use every single day for a month to get the promised result! 

Application:  Product was easy to apply but stank like washing up liquid (the nasty kind), My hair felt dry after washing it out straight away meaning I needed to use a lot of the conditioner (which also smelt bad).

After drying my hair was very straw like but super shiny and sort at the top! I posted about my first results and was advised to try leave in conditioner for damaged hair and a mask, so i tried tresemme split remedy mask and platinum strength leave in as seen in the picture :).




The condition improved a bit but overall my hair stayed dry but I stuck with it for the month out of desperation for results. (I also stopped heat styling/blow drying)







The final results!!

Soooooooo at the end I was super shocked to see serious root growth going on, I measured my hair and had gotten 3.5inches (I usually get just under half if I am lucky) ..... BUT my ends were totalled so most had to be cut off anyway :(

Overall I give this product 6/10 as it promised, the new growth was also super strong and silky soft, but I also had a lot of fallout from washing to much and obviously the frazzled ends!!

I recommend this product for people with thick super healthy hair who want to try and get some extra length!! I do not recommend it for thin/damaged hair.
